about

Hi! I'm Amelie

sleep coach, mom of two, and recovered insomniac.

Rootines was born out of early motherhood and the sleepless chaos that comes with it. I created the kind of support I wished had existed for myself, my daughters, and families navigating those first years.

Rootines combines the two things children need most: roots and routines. Roots create comfort and trust. Routines create structure and calm. Together, they create a rhythm the whole family can lean on.

Rootines is modern sleep coaching for families who don't want to let their kids cry it out. It's for parents who want to follow their children's needs and still sleep better, reconnect, and end the constant sleep drama.

Family life is simply better after a good night's sleep.

FAQ

questions, answered.

clear answers before you commit to anything.

is this right for our family if we've already tried everything?

This work is designed for families with children from 6 months to 3 years, especially when you've already tested different approaches and nothing has truly clicked. I often support children who are strong-willed or rely on feeding, pacifiers, bouncing, or other sleep associations.

how does the program work?

Over four weeks, I guide you step by step with a plan tailored to your child, your values, and your daily rhythm. You get practical support that fits real family life.

do I have to do this on my own?

You're the one making the changes, but you're not left alone with them. I guide you through the process, help you troubleshoot, and adjust the plan with you as needed.

do we need to be in a specific location?

No. The program works fully online, so you can do it from anywhere. If you're in or near Amsterdam, in-person support can also be arranged.

how quickly will we see changes?

Every child is different. Many families notice the first shifts within a few days, and the bigger change builds over the four weeks through consistency and steady support.

what makes your approach different?

It's gentle, responsive, and rooted in connection. I adapt the process to your child, your family dynamic, and the way you want to parent.

how much time do we need to commit?

You don't need hours of extra time each day, but you do need consistency. For the first 48 hours, single parents should ideally have one trusted helper nearby. After that, the process works well for busy families too.

how does pricing work?

I offer a small number of tailored packages depending on your family's needs and the level of support you want. We'll go through that together after the intro call and initial assessment.
